Vocalist Nataliya Ishkova, a prolific performer in the former Soviet Union, is releasing her first full-length album with guitarist Daniel Volovets, entitled "Echoes of Love." The CD is a collection of melancholy Russian romances, interspersed with solo guitar interludes.
"Echoes of Love" is a project several years in the making, featuring original arrangements of Soviet-era romances. Click below for a preview of a few selections from the CD.
Brothers Daniel (guitar) and Adrian Volovets (flute, tenor/soprano saxophone, violin, cello, piano, harpsichord, pipe organ) are a duo whose telepathic musical communication and varied repertoire have brought them critical acclaim. Their music is a combination of flamenco, Brazilian, jazz, and classical genres, including inventive arrangements of old favorites and original compositions. Their latest album is "Wistful Tendrils."
Conceptualized as a soundtrack for an unwritten fairy tale, "Wistful Tendrils" brings together compositions in a neo-Renaissance style and arrangements of music from all over the world. Click below for a preview of the CD.
